The Mini-PROTEAN Tetra cell is a vertical polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis system that can be used with precast or handcast mini-format gels. Its user-friendly features and durability make it ideal for teaching SDS-PAGE and other applications.

Bio-Rad’s Mini-PROTEAN Tetra cell is a mini-format, vertical polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis system that provides rapid, high-resolution separation of protein (or DNA) mixtures by SDS-PAGE or native PAGE. An indispensable piece of equipment in research laboratories, the durable and easy-to-assemble Mini PROTEAN Tetra cell is also well-suited for use in classroom laboratories.

Configuration Options
The Mini-PROTEAN Tetra Cell can be configured for use with 1–4 precast or handcast gels in different thicknesses.

  • All Mini-PROTEAN Tetra Cells include buffer tank, electrode assembly, lid with power cables, and mini cell buffer dam
  • Mini-PROTEAN Tetra Cells for handcasting include casting frames and stands, glass plates, 10-well gel combs, and sample loading guide
  • Convert any 2-gel Tetra Cell to a 4-gel system by adding a companion running module (1658038EDU)

The Mini-PROTEAN Tetra Cell is also available bundled with a PowerPac power supply and/or Tetra blotting module.
