A TDS meter is a small hand-held device used to indicate the Total Dissolved Solids in a solution, usually water. Since dissolved ionized solids, such as salts and minerals, increase the conductivity of a solution, a TDS meter measures the conductivity of the solution and estimates the TDS from that reading.
1.Remove the protective cap.Press ON/OFF button.
2.Immerse the meter into the water/solution height no more that 4cm(From the beginning of TDS meter)
3.Waiting until the display stabillizes, the TDS meter automatically variations once the readout is stabillized.press the HOLD button to save reading,If you want to test again, press CLEAR button to clear the value, then press the MODE button to choose ppm,Celsiu and Fahrenheit
4.After usage, shake off water from your meter or wipe it with a tissue.
5.Contine pressing ON/OFF button for 3 seconds manually shutdown.
6.Check the water purifier filter element replacement cycle.
7.Make sure you always drink pure water

Q1: What does TDS stand for water testing?
A: TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids which is related to the total charged mineral content of water. TDS can be easily determined by measuring the conductivity of a water sample, which is exactly what inexpensive TDS probes do. TDS meters typically display the total amount of dissolved solids in parts per million or ppm.
Q2: How sensitive is a TDS test?
A: A TDS tester is not sensitive enough to measure toxic levels of lead, chromium-6, or arsenic, even if they are present in a sample. This is because the reading displayed on an inexpensive TDS meter is in parts per million, while things like lead, chromium-6, and arsenic are toxic at part per billion concentrations (1000 times lower).
